湖州经济开发区介绍
湖州经济开发区 于 1992年 8月经浙江省政府批准设立 ，成为了首批省级开发区之一，并于 1997年 被国务院原特区办确定为全国重点省级开发区。 2005年 12月经国家发改委审核设立公告。 开发区内设有浙江省湖州高新技术产业园区、浙江省湖州台商投资区、浙江省留学人员湖州创业园区等省级专业园区。实际规划面积66平方公里，由凤凰分区、西南分区、西塞山分区、康山分区四个主要区块构成。并受市政府委托管辖四个街道(杨家埠街道、凤凰街道、 康山街道 、龙溪街道)，行政管辖面积140平方公里，40个行政村， 常住人口 11万， 流动人口 近3万。截止2006年底，湖州开发区累计合同利用外资11.2亿美元，实际到位外资4.6亿美元。2005年，在全省54 个省级开发区中的利用外资综合排名上升至第三位，并连续八年被列为"浙江省先进开发区"。建区以来，湖州开发区坚持高起点规划、高标准建设、高效能管理，着力营造有利于投资创业的良好环境，已成为长江三角地区吸纳外资和集聚高新技术产业的重要平台。
